With everyone (an everything, except for Julia's bag -- don't worry, it made it here tonight!) finally making it to the hotel by 12:30am, your Roadies had a short night's sleep before starting our trip with a game against the Czech Republic Junior National team at 10:00am.
Thank you to everyone who set an alarm for 2:00am MDT to watch us play :) We put together seven strong innings, taking the first game 6-0. We played at the Eagles Prada softball and baseball complex, about 15 minutes from our hotel. We're traveling around the city in a charter bus, so we have excellent views and time to take in the sites while we drive.
Joining your 2019 Roadies are five new players who will be starting school at MSU Denver this fall: Whitney Alexander, Emily Shreves, Hayley Doughty, Olivia Dampier, and Cameron Leoffler. All together we brought a roster of 25 student-athletes for this incredible experience.

After a quick lunch near the hotel, we had a couple hours to kill, so our tour guide, Erienne, took us to the Old Town Square for some quick site-seeing. We were able to take in the sights such as the Prague Orloj on the Old Town Hall and St. Nicholas Church, with numerous shops and sweet treats to choose from.
A quick trip back to the hotel to change, and then off to our second game of the day against Kotlarka Praha -- a women's club team that competes on the sight of the country's first official softball field. Very. Cool.
Your Roadies won game two with a final score of 14-3 AND we go to see a couple exciting returns/debuts: the return of Celyn Whitt from the DL, Kayla Banks in the circle, and alumna Kylie Burnside's first plate appearance as a Roadie! We hope you enjoyed our live-stream and were able to follow along. Photos from this game can be found on our Flickr site HERE.

We finished the night in true Czech fashion enjoying some goulash as a team and heading back to the hotel. For our first 24 hours in Europe, we think we're doing this right :)
Tomorrow we'll head to the heart of the city for a full day of site-seeing -- Prague Castle, paddle-boating on the Vltava River, visiting the John Lennon Wall, crossing the St. Charles Bridge -- before returning to the ballpark for an evening showdown with the Eagles Praha. First pitch is at 6:00pm (10:00am Colorado/9:00am California) and we will have live streaming available on twitter @RoadrunnerSB. And if you missed today's games and are dying to see how we did, you can re-watch them on twitter as well.
See you tomorrow!
