Seriously. I don’t think we saw anything that wasn’t gorgeous today. Water. Mountains. Buildings. You name it — it was beautiful.
We packed up and left the hotel in the morning with a scheduled stop at Lake Bled in Slovenia en route to Padua, Italy where we will stay for two nights before finishing our trip in Venice and Rome. Even as I type this, I can’t believe we are getting to do this and see all these incredible places! Such an unbelievable experience.
Anyhow, Lake Bled. Definitely a hidden 💎 of Slovenia. We arrived in the morning, took a private boat to the island in the center of the lake, swam and walked around, and then came back to the mainland for lunch right on the water. And to absolutely no one‘s surprise, it was a plate of meat :)
We’re just going to drop these images right here because they speak for themself:
Below is a slideshow of some more photos from the day, so make sure you scroll through!
We heard over and over from the girls that this was their favorite part of the trip so far, and honestly, we can’t argue with that! So much beauty. So much fun.
After lunch we hopped back on the bus and headed through the mountains to Italy 🇮🇹 Again, NOT ugly views from the bus.
We’re staying at a “sport resort” outside of Padua which consist of a golf course, tennis courts, an incredible pool, and a spa. Here’s the view from our rooms — again, NOT ugly.
We finished the day with a fancy dinner at the resort and some free time after. And we’re happy to report we had pasta for dinner And not a plate of meat :)
Tomorrow we will head to Lake Garda and Verona for a day of sightseeing and likely more pasta! Ciao!
